Dunford Reunion at Bear Lake July 2

After picking up Alex and Charlotte at the airport the night before, we went to Church on Sunday and then drove them around. While we were showing the Temple Square, we ran into Clay and Amie and their family!  What were the chances!?!  So we got to take some photos of all of us!

Here we ran into each other totally by accident in front of the Joseph Smith Building.

In front of the Christus as the Visitors Center.

Clay's family!

Alex and Charlotte there too.

After Temple Square,  he showed her (and us) the places where he served on his mission - Utah Salt Lake City East Spanish Speaking.  It was so fun to see these and also to get to know Charlotte a little better.  She is so fun!  We then changed our clothes and headed up to Bear Lake.

Adam and Wendi had planned a Swedish dinner with activities for our first night.  It was so fun!  Besides the wonderful food - Swedish meatballs, potatoes, herring, etc. - they sang a fun song and then we could participate in a series of questions that were hidden around and in the house about Sweden.  On the last day, a prize was given to those who had the most answers.

Can you see the little Swedish flags on the meatballs?

Wonderful strawberry shortcake

Adam also introduced us to a fish Surströmming  (herring that is fermented) that they serve there as well.  It was the most horrible thing that any of us had ever smelled, let alone eaten.  It was so funny to watch those that participated, ourselves included, try to keep it down and not throw up!

Pool for Bryan and Michael!

Clara chilling!

Duncan and Abe getting some cousins time together!

It was so nice that Ben could come and bring his two boys - Samuel who is 6 months and William who is nearly 6!

William and Peter has a lot of fun using the fold out mattresses as a slide!

Everyone enjoyed baby Samuel so much.  He has the biggest blue eyes and sweetest smile, and the kids (and adults) nearly fought over him!

Hear is Rob with sweet baby Samuel.

The kids seeing him for the first time

Here are our oldest and youngest grandsons!

Cailey with Samuel

A great smile with Aunt Heather

And here he is with Uncle Bryan
