Thanksgiving Party with the YSA Ward

Since July, we have been serving on Sundays in a local Young Single Adult ward - Madison - located on 21st South and Main Street. At first, it was very uncomfortable because we weren't told anything to do, and the kids had no idea why we were there as well.  But as the weeks and months have gone by, we have become so fond of these young people.  There are many successful, but single, professionals in the ward, as well as many who are lonely and not sure of what to do with their lives.

For one of their FHE's, they had a pre-Thanksgiving party at one of the counselor's homes.  It was beautifully decorated!

Such fun decorations everywhere in the house.  Sister Neslen is so talented.

Brother and Sister Neslen - this is their home.

Brother and Sister Slater - he is the High Councilor assigned to Madison

Sister Slater, Emily, Sister Spencer (the other counselor's wife), and Sister Neslen.

And, of course, a picture of us!

This is another Thanksgiving-related post without the right photos!
